Website Implementation with Midgard
After much evaluation we have decided to use the Midgard Content Management System as the CMS to power our website. There were a number of others that met most of our selection criteria, Plone, Bricolage, EzPublish 3, WebGUI and APC Action Apps, however we felt that our greater experience with the toolset which Midgard was built on, php and mysql meant that we would be able to overcome any customisation issues to produce the website that we wanted. This combined with the good level of support in the midgard developer community and some good features coming into the project have taken us to the next level of our project, implementing the CMS. This book documents the project implementation phase and will deal with issues like the development of a project plan, Midgard customisation and usage, prototype development, transferring content, training, hosting options and anything else that we run into on the way.
We will also document what we have learnt on how to use the Midgard Framework and its different interfaces and applications and you can find that [Midgard CMS Framework|here].
