I have been running Sid but I think that I would like less excitement and more reliability than sid offers

In order of priority I would like:

• Debian Base

  • The latest stable kernel (if you can get everything to work)
  • a journaling file system (I'm no expert so I'll leave which one to you)
  • Video with full 1240x768 (all ready works in my install)
  • Network (already works in my install)
  • Sound (already works in my install - but not for all X apps)
  • USB
  • Suspend to RAM and Disk
  • PCMCIA
  • IEEE1394 firewire
  • S Video

• X Server

  1. Things that I've not been able to get working:
     • The OpenGL functions of the ATI Radeon Mobility M6 LY graphics card
     • Sound (including from apps like XMMS and others)
     • DVD player like Xine or Okle Xmovie or Ogle
  2. Apps that I allready have.
  • Quanta (unstable in my install)
  • Kmail
  • Korganizer (broken in my install)
  • Kaddressbook
  • Kwalletmanager
  • Mozilla-Firefox
  • Kuickshow (broken in my install)

• Window Managers

  • KDE 3.2
  • ICEwm
