Multi-sites, theme customisation and modules in Drupal
Submitted by john on 20 September, 2006 - 00:19. multi-site drupalI had a preliminary look at multi-sites in drupal, theme customisation, the category module and use of other modules to get up a microsite in drupal. I have taken the opportunity to make this a more productive exercise by using a real world example and used the naea.org.au site as the basis of my drupal investigation. The coordinator had wanted some changes made to the site which I had not got around to so thought I would set it up so that she could make them herself and look at how you would use drupal to set up a small website focussed on an environmental campaign.
Setting up an article content type in Plone
Submitted by john on 13 September, 2006 - 20:20. BernArticle | content types | ploneI had a look in the layout and presentation products of plone. BernArticle sounded interesting as it looks like it gives you a lot of flexibility for laying out your article. I installed it in the Products for my plone instance and then added the product to my tws site. All you have to do is unpack it to the Products directory and restart Zope and then go to "Site Setup" in your Plone site click on "Add/Remove Products" and then select "BernArticle .." from the "Products available for install" and click on Install.
Fiddling around on Evans Computer
Submitted by john on 10 February, 2003 - 08:51.Ok the first thing I noticed in the boot was that usb appeared to be loading but kept giving irq error messages with a message saying to check the bios settings. So looking at Advanced -> USB Features there was only one option which was to enable the USB floppy. It was enabled so I disabled it. Looking at the PCI Configurations and there was only one option which was IRQ Reservation. It listed IRQs 3,4,5,7,9,10,11 as available. These were all reserved for use by legacy ISA devices. Didn't worry about doing anything here yet, so I saved the settings and then continued with the boot.
